About this Article

This article describes how to set up your website with the Cloudflare Contend Delivery (CDN) service.

Why Use Cloudflare?

Even though our hosting delivers top notch speed, as you begin to build your website and add more and more to it you may see a degrade in performance.

This isn’t to do with hosting, it’s more about how much stuff your website has to load. Thankfully, there is a way to increase your sites performance.

You can do this by using a CDN or Content Delivery Network. We recommend Cloudflare. We use this on all of our sites.

Set Up Cloudflare

Cloudflare has a free tier account and this will be enough to give your site a real boost. Here’s how to set it up.

  1. Create an account at Cloudflare here
  2. Add your domain
  3. Wait for the scan to finish
  4. Select free account
  5. Grab the nameservers
  6. That’s it

Changing Your Nameservers

You’ll need to change your nameservers to point to Cloudflare. You will now need to manage any DNS settings via Cloudflare and not your hosting panel or domain registrar.

You can also tinker with the Cloudflare settings, but be careful as some of them may break your site
